Dangers of Type-G lift trucks
Forklifts carry out an important role in the operations of warehouses and other businesses. These equipment are capable of raising and transporting immense loads from one place to another. There are many variations on the forklift. The primary variation is the way in which various units are fueled. "LP" forklifts are the most popular kind. They use liquid propane. Type "E" forklifts operate on electricity and have large rechargeable batteries. Type "D" lift trucks utilize diesel and type "G" utilize gasoline. Though all lift trucks, like any piece of heavy machinery, could pose a hazard, gasoline powered forklifts pose the most risks.

Fire
Forklifts labelled type G could present a fire hazard. Gas lift trucks are not made with the same rigorous standards. Gas leaks are the biggest cause of fire due mostly to gas leaks and also escaped gas fumes. This can result from normal wear and from accidents or driving on extremely rough terrain. These circumstances pose a risk and can result in fire. Therefore, a standard Type G forklift should never be utilized in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed not acceptable. For example, these types of forklifts should not be used around dangerous or explosive chemicals.

Explosion
Gas forklifts also pose a risk of explosion, as do diesel and liquid propane based forklifts. A gasoline fueled forklift can explode as a result of a serious accident in circumstances where a gasoline leak and an ignition source are both present. An explosion can occur when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Type G lift trucks pose a serious inhalation danger due to poisonous fumes. Gasoline fumes can be deadly in high concentrations. Fumes could result from the exhaust itself or from gasoline leaks. Therefore, a Type G forklift is really not suggested for any setting that is poorly ventilated. The exhaust will present a serious hazard in enclosed places. This particular kind of forklift should be utilized carefully when operated in close proximity to people.
